The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment, with a focus on robot vacuums and mopping combos. Multitaskers are a great choice for those who want to cross mopping off the to-do list. Some have great navigation and obstacle avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads for a hands-free cleaning.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robot vacuum that can also mop, this is the model to look for. It's smaller than the other models on this list making it easier to maneuver in tight corners and under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the best navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It will even return to the dock to top up its battery midway through an efficient.

It's extremely efficient and does an outstanding job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways in just one motion. Its suction motor of 8,000pa makes short work of picking up dirt, droppings, and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the two side brushes help to tease out dirt from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, isn't as good. The rotating mop spins at a high speed and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms protrude out a bit more than other robots, which is useful to get into tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to collect larger objects such as books and toys that have been damaged.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever tried. It is quieter and doesn't make as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform its mopping function and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's simple to set up and works well however, it's something you'll have to keep an eye on in case you're purchasing this vacuum for the sole purpose of it mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it a great choice for homeowners looking to purchase a highly effective, versatile and adaptable cleaning machine.

The device is equipped with a powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the house and also detect furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean effectively and effectively. This results in an effective, consistent cleaning that is also quite fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other difficult to reach places. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor near to the walls or other fixtures. Additionally, the mop pads can be washed and dried to prevent build-up and reduce odors.

App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction level and select a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also select the number of passes, which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can even choose to turn off the side brush to prevent damaging rugs and carpets.

This device has a fairly expensive price tag, but it has a variety of smart features.  automatic vacuum  is important to keep in mind that the device is subject to periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For instance the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours, and mop pads should be changed every one to three months.

This robot vacuum mop has a high Amazon rating and includes an array of physical automation features. It has the power button that serves as a general "Clean button, as well as a 'Home' button that will send it back to its base station once it has completed the cleaning process. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empties the dustbin, refills its water tank to mop and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a busy professional or someone who wants a cleaner home without spending much time doing chores The Shark Matrix Plus is a solid choice. Its powerful performance, smart navigation, and long battery life make it easy to keep a clean home with little effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a two-in-one mop and vacuum. It is capable of vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot is divided into two components which include a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping unit that includes an elastomer pad. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping however it does mean you don't have to fret about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its precise floorplan map, which it utilizes when cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option of setting 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers, which can help to protect specific areas of your home from being scrubbed with a mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of picking up hair of pets. It was able capture a lot of the hair that shed by our cats, and even got into some of the nooks and crannies on our stairs, where other robots have struggled. The noise levels of the robot were low and there were nice jingles to let you know that it was starting and finishing its work.

The biggest flaws were its simple app and the requirement to switch between the modules to switch between mopping and vacuuming. The app cannot keep multiple maps. This could be an issue if your house has several floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want a smart robot that can do both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that can be found in our test, but it has some distinct features that make it worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its enormous dock which doubles as a charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning as well as an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.

The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to identify obstacles and furniture in its path. It will steer clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognising objects.

The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it is entangled in an obstacle, such as a power cable draped over a rug. It won't work until you untangle it manually. While it was not common however, it was a gruelling experience when it happened, especially since the X1 Omni does not come with a "stuck" status alert in its app.

Another possible issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad but mopping pads don't get washed or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a big contrast to the basic black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. It's also an excellent choice for an industry dominated by boxes.
